What’s it like to work with me, and where have I worked?
I enjoy making accessible training programs that encourage better working environments for teams across different businesses. To me, instructional design dovetails perfectly with my extensive teaching experience as an English college professor. Based on what I learned from teaching, I pivoted easily to the field of instructional design.
Recently, I worked at EquitiFy as an Instructional Design Manager, and previously, I worked with Uber as a Senior Instructional Designer. At both places, I used best instructional design practices, theories, and tools, like:
ADDIE Model, Bloom’s Taxonomy, cognitive load theory, and learning experience design
Learning objectives, storyboards, training needs analysis, and learning management systems (LMS)
Articulate Rise and Storyline, Camtasia, SnagIt, Adobe CC (including InDesign, Illustrator, and Premier Pro), Captivate, Synthesia, Vyond, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
Certifications in eLearning development from the Association of Talent Development, AI Fundamentals, and SCORM/xAPI
508 compliance and web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) accessibility to all projects
With each project, my instructional design process follows similar steps, including analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating. I feel proud of what I’ve accomplished in this industry, and I would love the chance to help your group grow, whether as a freelancer, full-time employee, or consultant.
My examples are proprietary, so I have a password on both sections. Please reach out to me at drsusiedish@yahoo.com to set up a meeting and discuss my work.
