The documents below are examples of grant and project proposals that I have authored previously. While I’m primarily an instructional designer, I included this section in my portfolio to show my range in technical writing and the ability to write for a variety of audiences. I apply these skills across various projects within instructional design. It also means I can provide help with freelance work if needed.
National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)
Audience: Proposal reviewers of the National Endowment for the Humanities summer institute program.
Purpose: To offer a summer institute for teachers that focused on the ways in which they can work to bridge cultural and economic divides between students and staff with the intent of improving student success.
Blackboard Cedar Valley College (CVC) Informal Proposal
Audience: Internal review group determining allocation of grant funds for pilot programs.
Purpose: To develop a hands-on training program that would familiarize new student users with the functionality they need to use effectively in Blackboard LMS in order to succeed in online courses.
